Microsoft Teams Integration

OKRs Tool

Last Update 7 месяцев назад

How do I install the Microsoft Teams integration?
The integration is installed via your organization's private Teams app catalog and requires admin approval before it can be enabled. Once approved, any OKRs Tool user in your organisation can add the sidebar app, set up the weekly digest, and add the channel tab to relevant Teams channels. The full setup takes under five minutes. A step-by-step guide is available in the installation section of the help centre.

Is the Teams integration included in my current plan?
The Teams integration is available to all OKRs Tool customers on the Expand plan at no additional cost. If you're on the Expand plan, admin approval from your Microsoft Teams administrator is required to install it.

Can my team edit or update OKRs directly inside Teams?
Not in V1. The integration is read-only by design — you can view OKRs, track progress, and use slash commands to pull up status summaries, but all editing and updating happens inside OKRs Tool. Clicking any OKR in Teams deep-links directly to the relevant objective in OKRs Tool.

What data does the integration access and is it secure?
The integration uses OAuth with scopes limited strictly to reading OKRs and sending bot messages. It does not write any data back to OKRs Tool from Teams, and Teams visibility mirrors your OKRs Tool permissions exactly — if a user can't see an objective in OKRs Tool, they won't see it in Teams. No shadow access, no additional data sharing beyond what's required to display your OKRs.

The weekly digest isn't arriving in my DMs — what should I check?
There are three common causes. First, confirm the integration has been fully installed and approved by your Teams admin — partial installs can prevent the bot from sending messages. Second, check that the digest is enabled in your OKRs Tool notification settings and that the delivery frequency is set to weekly or bi-weekly rather than off. Third, check your Teams notification settings to ensure direct messages from apps aren't being blocked or filtered.
